Who we are

Local Business Hero provides a one-off local search setup package for UK businesses. For anything about your data, email hello@localbusinesshero.co.uk.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, telephone number, website address (if you give one), any social media accounts you add, the discount code you use and, for partner offers, your CPD certificate number. We also collect the business details you give us during setup.

Why we use it

To set up and deliver the package you ordered: to contact you, take payment, verify partner-offer eligibility, and create or update your Google Business Profile, Google Ads campaign, directory listings, website and social accounts. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to perform our contract with you.

Business details we publish for you

Delivering the package means publishing your business name, address, phone number and similar business details on Google and on local directories. We only publish the details you ask us to.

Where it is stored

Orders are stored securely with our database provider, Supabase, on servers in London. This website is hosted by Vercel, and its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. On partner offer pages we store one small item in your browser (a cookie and local storage entry) recording when your personal offer window ends, so the price you were shown is honoured at checkout. It contains no personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them to deliver and support your package, and financial records for 6 years as required by UK law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner where the law allows.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@localbusinesshero.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
